Some of us have tasted it; most have heard the stories. Mama Obin (@binhouse_official) - legendary cloth maker, cultural guardian, and quiet force in Indonesian textile - has long welcomed guests into her world not just with artistry, but with open arms and soul-warming hospitality. Those lucky enough to have stepped into her home-slash-store know: it’s never just about garments. It’s about heritage, memory, and a kind of warmth that lingers with you.

She brings that same spirit to @lamodajkt at @plazaindonesia ahead of her 70th birthday. Familiar flavors; otak-otak, ayam goreng hitam, soto Betawi, served not just as dishes, but as stories. Recipes passed down, held close, and now shared again.

It may be a fleeting one day only experience, but it signals something quietly thrilling: a deeper expansion of Bin House into hospitality, still very much wrapped in the same love for tradition, storytelling, and the intricate tapestry of Indonesian culture.

It is at the end part of a cloth pieces, and features different motif from the rest of the cloth, or “body” of the cloth.
