There’s something so liberating about dreaming up a future for yourself… and then realizing how much planning, phone calls, logistics, money and blind faith it actually takes to bring it to life.

This spring, that 1-ton dream rolled through the doors (literally) in the form of my very first letterpress machine. Thousands of pounds of steel, history, craftsmanship, and possibility — somehow now sitting inside a studio space I get to call my own.

For years I’ve dreamed of creating with my hands in a way that felt slower, more intentional and tangible. To watch my own designs come to life right before my eyes, pressed into paper one sheet at a time, feels surreal in a way I can’t fully put into words.

I’m endlessly grateful to the incredible moving team JD Machinery Moving & Rigging whose professionalism, patience, and precision made what felt impossible a walk in the park. To Lynsie, for building @thebrass_fw into the kind of creative dream space that allows artists and wedding vendors to grow alongside one another — thank you for making space for all of us to dream bigger. To @ashlee.thevents , for documenting every emotional and exciting moment and @knappdesignco mentor turned bestie, for pushing me to believe I could actually do this full time.

And to my friends, family, and clients — thank you for believing in me long before this machine ever arrived. Every order placed, every referral shared, every encouraging text (or being patient with me when I don’t text back at all) helped build this moment sheet by sheet.

This milestone feels bigger than just a machine. It feels like proof that scary dreams are still worth chasing.

James and Jamie’s wedding day was unlike no other I’ve ever been to. Every single detail was handcrafted with meaning to give their guests a warm welcome to Texas since many of them are from Europe where James is from, and all around the globe.

Presidios Premiere on the New York Stock Exchange was nothing short of magic. The glamour of old Hollywood came head to head with the most couture parts of cowtown.

Soft velvet menus with gold foil details perfectly balanced with a masculine wood backing and custom mini bolo tie. Each chord of leather color corresponded to their meal selection (because we’ve seen enough cow icons in cowtown, let’s be honest).

Table numbers and bar menus took a front seat in making their own statements, too.

A cutie classic fo B & C! Took a lot of finagling with my Cricut (least favorite tool I use… maybe behind my printer) and a lot of templates and alignment tests to get that peep hole just right for the church to make center stage on the invitation pocket.

Ceremony details were conveniently printed behind a mounted RSVP card & envelope combo so there was no stress of it falling out of place or looking busy when the guests opened it up. It’s not just an invitation, it’s every little detail that goes into the big day 🤍#

M & J met working at the Tennis Channel and immediately we knew we had to make that shine in a posh but refined way, personal to them but not so obvious that it clashed with the big day.

This wedding escort wall was a true labor of love. I think my fingers still hurt from sewing each racket onto the felt, but when items are being shipped you need to anticipate every pitfall in order to ensure a seamless setup day of.

Bar signs, but with a literal twist!

An important reminder to hire trusted vendors who communicate with each other. When we came up with this spinning bar sign it was pertinent to immediately notify the florist of the dimensions and how this display would be used.Florals too tall? Extra work for day of adjustments that nobody has time for. Florals too delicate? They may not stay standing when the sign spun or make the lettering illegible. Remember that you’re not just paying for the product, you’re paying for hours of thoughtful communication, prototyping, trial and error to make sure the guest experience is 10/10!
