Documentation of the event I organized, where I asked the visitors to fold paper pigeons and assemble them in the exhibition room. Two pigeons that snuck in through a hole in our pigeon net are currently nesting on our WG balcony. To keep them from settling in and pooping all over the table, my roommates replaced their eggs* with plastic ones from @stadttaubenhilfe_weimar_e.v._
The entrance room was set up with chairs and tables with the folding sheets + instructions I designed to make the pigeons (and cut out some droppings). The exhibition room was kept empty except for some (simulated) defensive architecture, bird food, and a few sample pigeons.
I don’t like to feel watched in this kind of environment, so I decided not to bring my camera and only snuck a few photos and videos on my phone for my own documentation. The video on the last slide was too cute not to share though, of when the workshop area became too crowded, a second unintended folding circle was started on the exhibition room floor <3
Shoutout to the amazing people who helped and instructed the participants with folding:

* This is only allowed for specific, overpopulated types of pigeons that nest multiple times a year (at least in Germany) and only if done early enough. Pls research this first and/or reach out to your local pigeon experts/rescue if you are in a similar situation!

„Hallo/Guten Abend/Was magst du/Kommst du jetzt“ (unsolicited nudes pt. 3), 2025
Hand-knotted carpet made from polyamide stockings and cotton warp
40 x 80 cm
I have been collecting unsolicited nudes from dating apps and using them as references for a series of handmade textile works. The title – the exact messages I received together with the photos – translates to:
“Hello/Good evening/What are you into/Are you coming now”
It was displayed in the exhibition „SCHWEISS – Panorama Romantischer Relikte“ (“SWEAT – Panorama of Romantic Relics”) in the former “Panorama Fitness“ gym at Goetheplatz (Weimar) with @kuenstlersozialklasse last summer. There was a huge window dividing the room that enabled me to install it with the backside fully visible 👾
