Children’s singer is about sliding past various environmental/socioeconomic points of no return while trying to stay positive for your children.
The source image was a still taken of Julie Andrews from the sound of music.
I printed a reference to make a 36” version of this originally intended for the exhibition “Promession” @vonammon but wanted to do new paintings. Maybe I will do the big one

My single, “Sun Witch,” is now available on @spotify along with a clip of @benbertocci ‘s amazing time-lapse video featuring his remarkable painting “Philosophical Failure”. His instagram reel featuring “Sun Witch” had over 1 million views so we decided to make a snippet of it available to folks on Spotify along with the track. Head over to Spotify , give Dispatcherrr (aka me) a follow, listen to the track and click on the Now Playing button to see Ben’s painting video.

I made Sun Witch with all analogue synths from @bastlinstruments and @korgofficial during a stint at @macdowell1907 in 2023 when I was building out a project called Geograpologies for @lubov_nyc . Kind of like the figure in Ben’s painting, Sun Witch is about being clawed at, torn, stuck between realities and is a kind of anthem to gouging out the horrors of the present.

Ben’s reel had over 1 million views; we’re hoping for 1 million listens. #contemporaryart #electronic
