Our wee Metal Festival made the local paper! And we couldn't have done it without you! 💜

We have so many thank you posts pending... but this one is for those who purchased tickets and supported this bonkers idea from the beginning.

This was the first music event our Organiser had ever organised. It was a huge gamble: would anyone actually turn up? What does a 'Metal Ceilidh' even look like? Would anyone be as excited about tea towels as Layla was about designing them? How should a drink cost, when folk could potentially pop out to their tent to drink as much as they liked? 🫠

You did turn up, 200 of you each night. You volunteered and worked more than your socks off, you took part in the ceilidh and quiz, you bopped about to songs you'd never heard, you took along your children and they joined their first ever mosh pits. You took part in Skye's first ever circle pit and wall of death (all thanks to the legendary @fromtyrannyofficial) and you attended the first official outdoor camping Metal Festival in the Highlands 🏕

We have learned a huge amount from this years event. Maybe we'll have a next years too (same time next year anyone!? 🤣). But we're going to take a wee break (in and amongst the day jobs) then start, next week, uploading all the lovely pics and videos we can to our website and socials 🫶

You all made Dùn Rùin what it was: thank you for all being UTTERLY incredible.

We hope the epic journey was worth it 💜

Dùn Rùin is only 2 days away!! 🥳 The @atlanticrift lads are here, setting up tents and getting the craic, joined by the awesome photographer @katys_studio ⛺️

Our merch has arrived and it's pretty sick - if we can say so ourselves - printed by Scottish Merch Suppliers @baroneclothing (thank you Bar One! 🔥). All of our merch is Vegan certified, on 100% organic cotton, employing ethical working practices and contains no nasty chemicals.

We're so stoked! We can't believe it's only 2 days away!!

Having supported acts such as Sick of It All, Madball, Kaonashi and Split Chain they draw inspiration from bands such as Boundaries, Knocked Loose and Orthodox.

Following the release of ‘An Imminent End’ alongside singles ‘Blight’ and ‘Sever' the band have focused on unleashing their ferocious sound to the masses; taking their shows across the continent as far as Belgium where they played Leperfest Festival in 2025.
