We have more than a few families that drive 45-minutes each way to bring their daughter to AREA. Why? Because they’d heard about our results and wanted the quality training we provide at our main and satellite locations.

Yesterday, I danced across the finish line of a transformative chapter—graduating from the prestigious Links, Incorporated Scott Hawkins Leadership Institute (SHLI). This wasn’t just a program. It was a sacred choreography of growth, grace, and grounding.
To be part of Cohort 12 is to stand in rhythm with a sisterhood of visionary Black women—each of us committed to lifting as we climb.
To my sisterfriend, JaNay- we did it!!!..Together, we stretched, pivoted, rose—and found balance in our brilliance, responsibilities, and realities. Alongside our fellow GA Links sisters- ATL represented!..as always 💁🏽♀️
To the SHLI Visionary, our 11th National President, Patricia Russell-McCloud, JD, your vision created this bold space for Black women to refine our leadership, voice, and power.
Southern Area Director, Mrs. Vanessa Falls, thank you for seeing my light and reminding me: I am Southern Area. I am a leader. I was equipped, and I was ready.
To my grandmother Dr Rubye D. McClendon, a charter member of Azalea City, I felt your strength in every session. Your torch has never dimmed—it burns brightly in me now.
Gloria Brooks, Michele Gandy, and Nancy Cooke- you have been the wind beneath MyRubye’s wings 🕊️. My Azalea City Chapter sisters, your unwavering support kept me grounded.
To my children: this dance was for you. I juggled this intensive leadership experience alongside building businesses, mentoring others, and being your mommie—so you’ll never doubt what’s possible. My leadership is your inheritance. Your power is your birthright.
This graduation isn’t an end—it’s a beautiful pause in a lifelong movement. A turn toward legacy. A leap into purpose. A bow to those before me. And a reach to lift those behind me.

What an INCREDIBLE three days of artistry, connection, and transformation as we launched with @aileyextension our10th Anniversary of AILEY Experience ATL!
These 3-days were a true testament to the power of partnership—when we come together with purpose, we create limitless impact.
✨From Friday’s kickoff of inspiring adult dance workshops and panel discussion.
✨To Saturday’s dynamic rehearsal at Ebenezer Baptist Church.
✨ 5-unique dance workshops for ages 8-adult that pushed boundaries.
✨To Sunday’s soul-stirring Ailey Revelations-inspired performance!
✨Followed by 4-dance workshops—the energy was unmatched!
✨250+ dancers from across GA and AL, ages 8 to adult, came together to grow, learn, and be inspired through the power of #alvinailey!
✨Thanks to the power of community, we provided 20+ scholarships for @pace_sota students to the attend 2-day workshops!
✨Awarded 3-promising dancers the opportunity to experience Ailey in NYC for Summer 2025!
✨AND-provided over 50-tickets for members of AREA to attend AILEY’s opening night at the #foxtheater !
