🐝 We are still BUZZING from the”Bee Day” event with our friends @thedolorosahifi .

We have so much GRATITUDE to these AMAZING artists who donated their tips from the day to help us further educate about sustainability and conservation of the beloved HoneyBee.

This was our 3rd year collaborating with these AMAZING humans who WANT to be the change … who WANT tobe part of the solution.

We are SO GRATEFUL for this opportunity and look forward to more just like it!

👑 Happy International Women’s DaySisters!

Every bee you see working hard in the colony is female. The queen is female, and all the worker bees are female. The only males in the hive are the drones, and their job is simple — mate with a queen.

Let’s talk about something pretty amazing — in the honey bee world the females run the entire hive.

🐝The queen bee is the mother of the colony. During the busy season she can lay up to 2,000 eggs a day, ensuring the hive continues to grow and replace workers. She also produces powerful pheromones that help organize and stabilize the colony.

🐝Then we have the worker bees — the real engine of the hive.
These females do everything:
🐝 Clean the hive
🐝 Feed and raise the brood
🐝 Produce wax and build comb
🐝 Process nectar into honey
🐝 Guard the entrance
🐝 Forage for nectar, pollen, propolis, and water
🐝 Regulate the hive temperature and airflow
As worker bees age, their jobs change. It’s one of the most beautiful examples of division of labor in nature.

Without these hardworking females, a colony simply could not survive. They raise the next generation, store food for winter, defend the hive, and pollinate the plants that support ecosystems all over the world.

So today while we celebrate women, it’s also a fun reminder that in the hive — just like in many places in life — the ladies are the ones keeping everything running. 🐝

Happy International Women’s Day to all you AMAZING women … and of course to the millions of female honey bees doing the real heavy lifting in the hive every single day.

❄️Happy Winter Solstice!

🧐 Did you also know that it’s the beginning of Bee Season?!

“This is the day with the shortest amount of daylight and the longest night. For the next six months, the days progressively lengthen and the nights get shorter. The day of the winter solstice is also observed by honey bees. The queen bee may begin laying eggs to start the colony toward the next year’s growth anytime after the winter solstice. The queen is usually stimulated to start laying eggs when the foraging worker bees start bringing pollen into the hive.”

✨ We have DEFINITELY been seeing our bees bringing back LOTS of pollen to their hives.
