An adaptation of the story of the ballet ‘Coppelia’. The art style draws from temple paintings.
Trying to frame the long pages for the Instagram format was a nightmare… I should print this in the intended format some day.

Colomboscope is excited to present the digital handbook associated with the project Circular Creative Companions (2025–26)! Illustrated and designed by Shenuka Corea (@baka.moona) with the mentorship of Shehzil Malik (@shehzilm), the publication contains learnings and observations from a three-day workshop held in July 2025, the development of the unique “MoJo” Modular Joint Mechanism, its use at Colomboscope: Rhythm Alliances, an instructional manual for the MoJo, and more insights about sustainability and circularity from local art and design organisations. This publication and details about the “MoJo” mechanism are now accessible through our link in bio. We encourage local, regional, and international arts initiatives to try the “MoJo” in their own contexts.
Our special gratitude to the mentors, resource persons, and contributors to this publication: Jonathan Edward (@365.052.001), Kanil Dias Abeyagunawardene (@kanildiasabey), Nishantha Hettiarachchi, Soniya Rajendran, Shenuka Corea, Archt. Palinda Kannangara (@palindakannangararchitects), Dr Susan Schuppli (@susan_schuppli), Dr Pamudu Tennakoon (@pamalamadu), Amita Arudpragasam (@aarudpra), Iromi Perera (@iromip), Colombo Urban Lab (@colombourbanlab), Pradeep Thalawatta, Soul Studio (@soulstudiosl), Saara Nilla, Barefoot Gallery (@barefootgallery), Geoffrey Bawa Trust (@geoffreybawatrust), and Animate Her Studio by Irushi Tennekoon (@irus_dedoodles), among others!
Circular Creative Companions is made possible through the British Council’s (@britishcouncilsrilanka) Climate Futures South Asia grant. The Climate Futures South Asia Grant is a bold, artist-led initiative supporting creative solutions to the climate crisis through grants, mentorship, and global collaboration. It empowers artists and organisations to reimagine the arts for a sustainable future, driving climate action and resilience across the creative sector.
