first race, first place! 🥇

our favorite prospect park local legend got his first ever geared bike a few weeks ago. while we’re still getting used to seeing him coast on a bike, he rocked up to the CRCA points race this morning and took the top step! congratulations to youngin for a huge dub in his first road race! can’t wait to see him menace more road races in the future 😈

thank you as always to the very best bike shop @twoseasnyc for supporting the team and helping youngin build up his new speedy bike!

We can’t stop thinking about Newport News! Four fearless Ponies set their sights on a multi-day race weekend last month – Tour of Newport News (TNN). A premier race series, TNN attracts hundreds of road and fixed gear riders from around the country for a three day, five event “omnium.” With 23 entrants in the WTFNB fixed gear field, we saw some of the greatest competition and comradery in the game.

We’re so proud of all of our Ponies’ performances and want to give a clopping round of applause for those who podium’d and had multiple Top 10 finishes: @sincereyeehaws took 5th in the Twilight Criterium and @ahn_young_in took 5th place in the Circuit Race.

We are grateful to the race organizers, housing hosts, photographers, friends who traveled to support us, and Fixed Gear Fam who gathered to make the weekend so spectacular. Until we gallop together again…

Some of the Ponies got together and enjoyed a day of racing at @monstercritnyc . The turns and hairpins of the track were completed with ease each round the Ponies were called up. The day was a complete blast polished off by Lana stepping on the podium taking 3rd place. Bad Pony Racing thanks @aerohaart and @krussia_ for the work they put into the day. The team also sends out a very special thanks to @twoseasnyc for getting our bikes in racing shape! We can't wait until next year! Photo credit to @b_in_it and @aq_jerry

In stillness, we learn.
In motion, we become.

Thirteen teeth for thirteen ponies, turning together in the same direction.
A reminder that everything we build comes from repetition, discipline, and shared movement.

Bad Pony Racing | New York City or nowhere ⚙️
2026 is taking shape.

⚔️ 2026 starts here. 🐎

We’re opening a new chapter and welcoming Maria, Lia, Morganne, Ros and Peter to Bad Pony for the 2026 season. From fast commutes and long rides to first races and big goals ahead, we’re proud to have them rolling with us as we build the next chapter of Bad Pony together.

This is the beginning of our next era. More introductions, ideas, and movement coming soon!

The ponies really accomplished a lot this past year. You cheered for us on the podiums and the race days. But there’s so much more that makes us proud of this team. Taking injuries and crashes in stride, being the only WTF signed up for an event and doing it anyways, conquering new terrains and first-time rides, giving a much-needed hug, rescuing a teammate with tools and spare tubes, speaking up for what’s right, saying together with our full chest that trans women are women—it’s all what makes being a team so rewarding. Thank you to everyone who rode with us and had our back in 2025!

We especially couldn’t have done it without our incredible sponsors @ridepriority @twoseasnyc @dank_brooklyn. They’re the best in the business, so support them all of next year too! We can’t wait to show you the goals that we’re building towards for 2026.

Happy new year from the ponies! 🐎

40T chainrings. Low psi. SPD cleats. Lana had never even practiced on a course this tight or a ratio this small before arriving at the Formula Fixed Short Track races this August. But they’ve been known to f around and find out on tracklocross singletrack (hello two broken ribs to start the 2024 season), so they trusted their fixed gear bike handling and stepped up to the line. The competition was intense, but Lana fast tracked it to the final round where they rode hard and secured their qualifying spot as 5th overall for the weekend. Catch them at the Formula Fixed Pro Series in 2026!

Thank you to our awesome sponsors @twoseasnyc @ridepriority @dank_brooklyn for supporting us over an incredible weekend of out-of-town racing!

Next stop on the 2025 recap: Chocolate City Fixed Gear Criterium

A fast, technical course and heavy heat from the competition made this one of the toughest races of the summer.

In the WTF field, a group of five NYC racers broke away early — and stayed away for the whole race. Every lap through the start/finish, the announcer called it like it was:
“NYC did not come out here to play.”

Lana held their own in that break and sprinted to the line, but learned the limits of their gearing. In fixed gear racing, you live and die by your gear ratio, or you learn if you can spin the hell out of what you’ve got.

Meanwhile, Youngin… well, not every story ends on the podium. Ten minutes in, a crash took him out — and his wheel with it. (Check the photos 👀)

Back in September, six ponies (plus one future pony—hi Morganne!) made the trip to Pennsylvania to race the Masters & Rookies Saturday at T-Town.

The early wake-up call, the long drive, the smooth banking—it was all worth it. We showed up, raced hard, and cheered harder. The officials even noticed our team spirit (and we’re pretty sure Taco Bell did too 🌮).

It was the perfect day to put our Priority Jokers to the test—faster gears, bigger efforts, and plenty of power on the boards. From the WTF field to Lana’s podium finish 🥇, every lap was a reminder of how far we’ve come as a team.

We loved seeing the camaraderie, the energy, and how we all stuck together through the day. It was our first time racing on a real velodrome with banking—and definitely not the last.

T-Town, we’ll be back!

In the middle of one of the busiest race weekends on the East Coast, Kristin lined up for her first-ever criterium at the Randall’s Island Crit. The course was very technical but she ended up securing third on the podium. We’re proud of all the WTFNB participants who showed up and gave it their all! Congrats on your🥉 place!!
