All competitive driving, closed-course exhibitions, and demo events are conducted on permitted, controlled routes with full approval from the states we operate in. What you see there belongs there. Not on open roads.

24 Hours of Appalachia: Chemical Valley Scramble is coming to Charleston, West Virginia!

This one is going to be DIFFERENT.

The course will be 100% dirt and off-road with specialized sections tailored specifically for each discipline:

• UTV
• Moto
• Full Size

Full Size participants should come prepared — 35” or larger tires and front/rear lockers will be REQUIRED to tackle the terrain and obstacle sections.

We’re also bringing the action downtown with a Downtown Off-Road Show during Live on the Levee! Come check out the machines, meet drivers and riders, and experience the energy before the green flag drops.

Participant tech inspection and sign-in will take place in Downtown Charleston during the concert festivities, and the public is invited to attend and enjoy the atmosphere.
Appalachia’s hardest 24-hour challenge is headed to the Chemical Valley.

@terratrophyrally and @ultra4racing are heating things up in Hazard, KY to kick off the @maxxistires 48 Hours of Kentucky Rally and Ultra4 Nationals coming in October!

Join teams, sponsors, local business, and industry leaders for a downtown social June 10th from noon to 4pm. Teams and vendors will be on display near the Town Mountain Bridge. There is no cost to join the fun and all of Kentucky is welcome!

After the Downtown Social, registered Terra Trophy Rally teams and select Ultra4 teams will get FIRST LAPS at the new Thunderdome Short Course where the 2026 Ultra4 Nationals will be held.

Don't miss this kick off to the toughest offroad rally in the US open to tagged vehicles. See you there!

Another awesome day out exploring everything that WV has to offer. Another 80 miles clipped off on backroads and trails seeing the best WV has to offer.Who knew Fairmont WV had locks on the river and shipped coal up to Pittsburgh for the steel industry?there were navigation locks associated with the river system at Fairmont, though not a major standalone lock directly on the upper Tygart River itself the way people often picture Mississippi-style locks.

At Fairmont, the Tygart Valley River joins the West Fork River to form the Monongahela River. Around the early 1900s, a system of locks and dams was built on the Monongahela to allow coal barges and industrial traffic to move between Fairmont and Pittsburgh. Slackwater navigation officially reached Fairmont in 1903 with completion of Locks and Dams 10–15.

Those older locks were downstream from the confluence near Fairmont rather than far upriver on the Tygart itself. The modern replacement for that navigation system is the Opekiska Lock and Dam near Morgantown. Its upstream pool actually backs water up toward Fairmont and slightly into both the Tygart and West Fork rivers.

So if you heard older locals talk about “the lock on the Tygart” around Fairmont, they were usually referring to:
• the Monongahela navigation lock system connected to Fairmont’s river traffic, or
• backed-up navigation pools extending into the Tygart River area.

Three productive days in Kentucky for @tbill1001 and @phantom_rally . We brought @seanjrally in to work with both drivers on recce training, driving fundamentals, and car setup development. The progress throughout the test was impressive, and both drivers finished the week with a much stronger understanding of the process and confidence heading into @southernohioforestrally

Big thanks to Eric at @backroadsofappalachia for the hospitality, and to @glen.a.ray for helping both drivers stay sharp on notes throughout the week.

Looking forward to putting it all together at SOFR.
