While mentoring I challenge the young men to do the small things that make a difference in their everyday day life.

This may seem like just a game but they are learning memory and the art of paying attention. When our young men learn to use their brains it strengthens their mental capacity in other areas as well. Weekly, we train our brains to improve.

In this moment I allowed someone to have their moment and not overshadow their moment by sharing my own. Sometimes I’ll also share good news, but in this moment, I found it important to let this person’s moment exist independently.

The solution to events like this are the events that teach, engage, and provide stimulation for our youth.
People say there aren’t any events for our youth to engage with, but it’s about what our children choose to engage with and what the parents MAKE the youth engage with.

Self Assessment is difficult, but very necessary for personal growth.Without it, one is open to believing the lies of their behavior. I’m lazy, I’m not good enough, I’m tired, etc. Once you look at yourself with honesty and assess your actions you’ll gain clarity for your life and make better decisions.
