„Linientanz“ is an experiment I am currently working on where we try to translate my movement and feelings into abstract animation. For this experiment I am working with @lotto.gewinner (Ilya Barrett) as my mentor.🔦

Wo ist das Wir, wenn das Wir kein Zuhause hat?
Wie nennen wir das, was uns von Hier und Dort trennt?
Wo ist der Boden unter unseren Füßen?
Letzte Woche Freitag, den 17.04. haben Maya Sultanova und ich unsere kleine Performance „Schwebende Kinder“ zum aller ersten Mal vorgeführt.
In unserem Stück geben wir Einblicke in unsere kurdische Kultur, in dem was uns trennt und dem was uns verbindet.

Wie im Game gibt es in der Musik auch eine kleine Landschaft zu erkunden, mit vielen Details, die wir auf verschiedenen Ebenen eingearbeitet haben. Je mehr man eintaucht, desto mehr darf man sich fallen lassen, entspannen und genießen!

🥁 Drumroll incoming… This year, two projects from @animationsinstitut will be showcased at the @annecyfestival: DETLEV and LICHTUNG!
📌DETLEV (@detlev.mov) is the graduation project of Ferdinand Ehrhardt (@ferdinand.ehrhardt) (direction) and is competing in the “Graduation Films” category.
In this stop-motion film, a perpetually freezing street cleaner drives to a remote petrol station every evening to order a microwaved slice of Hawaiian toast. He indulges in it through a secretly bizarre ritual — it’s the only thing that brings him warmth each day. Until, one night, a broadly grinning construction worker catches him in the act...
📌 LICHTUNG is a VR game competing in the “VR Works” category. Directed by Interactive Media student Aria Wolf (@b0nkari), it was developed as part of the AniPlay programme in collaboration with a team of fellow students.
In LICHTUNG (@lichtung.vr), players enter a quiet yet unfamiliar world that gradually awakens as they explore their surroundings. The more they interact with it, the more it opens up – revealing its light.
🎫 From June 8 to 14, the renowned Annecy International Animation Film Festival will take place in France. Be part of it on-site and in our Instagram stories. Fingers crossed!
