Two weeks ago, Project Togetherness held a space in Bir to talk about the Trans Bill, and about something even deeper, our right to identity, dignity, and self-definition.

What began that evening wasn’t just a conversation, but a small opening.
A step towards building more queer-led, inclusive spaces in Bir where people can be seen, heard, and held without having to justify who they are.

And still, this is not enough.

One gathering cannot hold the weight of what’s at stake.
When systems begin to regulate identity, it’s not just policy or laws, but people’s lives, autonomy, and safety on the line.

Pehchaan is just the beginning of a much longer journey, to question, to resist, and to keep creating spaces that affirm and protect all identities.

Here’s to an evening of truth, reflection, and quiet resistance.
And to everything that continues from here.
