Running events is a delight and a challenge and each new event brings its own lessons and enjoyment.
Our upcoming gig with @stavroz_official is the first event we have done with such an internationally well-known band and we said yes to it knowing it would be a biggger risk to take on (risk it for the biscuit?).
But I just couldn’t quite pass on the idea as Stavroz are one of those bands I have listened to again & again & again, thanks to such delightful songs like The Finishing. And because we know that this 4-person Belgium band, that sells out shows internationally, plays one heck of an epic live performance 🔥 🎷
Hosting a big, well-known band means levelling up, pulling up our boot straps, and diving into more of the bigger event world, such as marketing & production (thanks for the hot tips @almoislandlife)
Yes, we chose this - luckily for me Margeaux also up for a challenge - but it isn’t always an easy ride, and we are not sure if we are hitting all the marks. Maybe we aren’t - maybe some are flying left, some flying right, and maybe the occasional one is mis-firing and heading behind us. But luckily Margeaux and I get to share the weight of challenges that turn up with such an undertaking, pat each others back, and continue forward. One of the many reasons why I love doing business with her.
