Blending the spontaneous energy of Shodo calligraphy with intricate Indian motifs, the piece is entirely material-led. Every visible brushstroke, ink drip, and scratched texture represents a moment of raw energy translated onto canvas, unrepeatable imperfections that has come from physical, lived experience.

I am excited to share a closer look at my latest work, where I’ve experimented with integrating organic matter, real dried wild daisies on the painting. This choice was driven by a desire to explore the profound depth of human connection, reflecting the constant interplay between fragility and the ability to adapt that exists in our interpersonal dynamics. The delicacy of the connection is represented by the preserved petals, which serve as a quiet reminder of the intentional care required to maintain meaningful bonds. Simultaneously, these elements speak to adaptability, mirroring the wild daisy’s natural instinct to flourish in diverse conditions, much like how we navigate the complexities of our social and professional landscapes. By layering these organic elements with bold, calligraphy strokes, the painting challenges the viewer to look past the first impression and find the enduring strength hidden within the delicate.
