🎒Last week, we had the pleasure of visiting the administration building at the @portoflongbeach with students from LBUSD. The students were impressed by the scale models of container ships, each one a testament to the port's rich history and its pivotal role in global trade. 🚢They absorbed every detail shared by our knowledgeable guide about the port's dynamic past, its current operations, and its visionary future developments.
🔱The kids not only enjoyed the educational tour but were also thrilled to receive thoughtful stationery gifts. These tokens of appreciation will undoubtedly come in handy for their future projects and notes, serving as a reminder of a wonderful day spent learning and exploring.
📢Our annual grant applications are now open! We are offering virtual technical assistance workshops to help answer any questions you may have.

This song means so much to me for so many reasons & it feels SO good to be singing it again. I am reclaiming my VOICE & I’m excited for more musical opportunities in Long Beach.
Most people don’t know I sang in multiple venues in NYC before moving here & even got a standing ovation at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem (& got to rub the famous “good luck stump”, IYKYK)
Thank you to @jewelslongbeach & @hamburgermaryslb for providing the venue for this musical opportunity @lbqueerartfest & helping reignite my passion, @breadnbutter_lbc for providing the amazing sound system & beautiful vocals of your own, & @thecubanjon at @island.pitch for videoing my performance. I am always focusing on others so I’m grateful to get a chance to be on this side of the camera.📷
Honestly, I have been neglecting my own voice & focusing on some of my own passions for a while. That ends today because I’m claiming a deeper & more meaningful PRIDE in all the things that make me….me.

Artists and community organizations are invited to apply for microgrants to participate. Selected participants may receive $500–$1,500 to host a booth or present a storytelling, history, art, or cultural project.
