Singer-songwriter @rosecousins is enlisting a bevy of talented friends to honor a man who has helped cement Passim’s legacy as a preeminent folk music listening room. Matt Smith started volunteering at Passim 30 years ago. He’s now the Managing Director and has helped launch countless careers through his dedication, unstoppable hard work, and passion for all things music and musicians. Guests can expect plenty of guest appearances and hilarious stories during this special night.

GEORGE MARTIN: THE SCORES
Through live orchestral performance, rare archival footage, and expert storytelling, @berkleecollege and @curvebenderpublishing present an exploration of the sound that changed the world. This is a rare, one-night-only opportunity to witness the evolution of the producer’s creative process from the inside out.
The show features over 20 students performing original George Martin scores, including iconic Beatles songs such as “Yesterday,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “Strawberry Fields Forever,” and “In My Life,” as well as “Old Boston,” a composition from his orchestral suite Three American Sketches. A short introduction will precede each piece, with a unique ensemble configuration playing each of the different compositions.
