Hackney Wick has spent 150 years in a state of constant reinvention, evolving from a hub of Victorian industrial innovation into an epicentre for artists. This neighbourhood is a vital part of a borough defined by thinkers, outsiders, and rule-breakers, from Ada Lovelace to the pioneers of the "noughties" art scene.

As a local space for artists and creativity, Arbeit Studios celebrate Hackney History Festival this May, as an excellent opportunity to learn more about our neighbourhood.

Trowbridge Gardens is proud to be one of the stops of the Hackney Wick walking tour, led by Hackney Tours and Wick Award. This will be a deep dive into our local identity, learning the stories of rebellious and fascinating heritage and ensuring that the places and people that define Hackney for generations aren't lost to time.

The tour starts at 7 pm in Homerton and ends around 8:30 at Hackney Wick Station. Tickets are currently sold out, but a waiting list is available to secure a last-minute spot if one becomes available. Learn more at @hackneyhistoryfest

Arbeit Studios and Create + Destroy are offering free access to a professional rehearsal and dance studio for local Westminster residents, community groups and artists. The slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The 45 ft² open-plan studio, set within Arbeit Studios – Lisson Grove, our brand-new building, is ideal for classes, rehearsals, and production work, with capacity for up to 15 people.
