Some new physical objects containing sounds.

Split cassette with the incredible Shadow Pattern on Infant Tree. Some sound collage from me utilising skipping records, lithophone, impromptu detuned piano, sounds of tomb cleaners at Bunhill Fields, broken radios, self-playing devices, motion-controlled synth, music boxes, bowed bells, cat. Bit of a learning process this one, an attempt to exchange with things which no longer exist.

The excellent cover art is by @ellenlburroughs

I also have a track on the new Chocolate Monk comp. Probably complaining about something.

I've just got back from playing a handful of live shows that didn’t really represent this body of work. Thanks to everyone who played, came along.

An even bigger thank you to @malvernbrume and @_adhuman_ for organising shows, @smack_music, @dylan_nyoukis and @kolography_ for hosting and looking after me. A good time!

Éliane Radigue: ASYMPTOTE VERSATILE (1963-64)
CD and Booklet. AMGEN 012

Restoration of original graphic score, design, and layout

Live concert recording of the world premiere performed at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (2023).

Widely recognised as the oldest surviving composition by Éliane Radigue, ASYMPTOTE VERSATILE was performed for the very first time at hcmf// 2023. The pioneering French artist referred to her 1960s works as propositions sonores, rather than compositions, and this piece is the only one she kept from the period.

The graphic score comprises logarithmic curves devised from the Fibonacci sequence, superimposed over sheets of additional notation, to be performed as sustained tones by up to four groups of acoustic instrumentalists spanning the full range of the audible spectrum.

Convened by Rhodri Davies, this ensemble features many of the OCCAM soloists who have worked closely with Radigue, steeped in the aesthetics and methods of her practice.

New collaborative tape on @regionalbears where I exhibit my true blues-woman calling on autoharp and harmonica (plus others). Scroll along for snippets.

Recorded over a couple days in a cottage in the Chilterns at the tail end of summer 2023 with KP an CM.

The image on the cover is a recoloured photograph of the grotto at Friar Park, just incase anybody was curious.

I have some copies for sale or you can grab one via the link in the bio.

The @colouroutofspacefestival 2026 grid post. Currently suffering from post-festival blues and my voice is also shot. Most of these are of the amazing performances I saw ( I did manage to watch everything). So great to see so many people there. Eternal respect to @dylan_nyoukis @smack_music and Michael for organising. 💓

I have a lot of people to thank for Friday night. Shakeeb, Fish El Fish, and LDSN for performing and showing work. Adam at @serf_leeds for letting us use the amazing space and helping set up. Theo, Wharf Chambers, Daniel and Cladams for lending equipment. Kieron for leaving us his PA. Josh for these videos. Everyone who showed up thank you, thank you. Always say I’ll never host another, but I’m feeling very grateful for a supportive community, however anxious I may appear at times

SHOW ALERT: FRIDAY 10 APRIL

Very happy with this line up, what a set of beauties!

Shakeeb Abu Hamdan is a Lebanese/British musician and visual artist based in Paris. He performs with an unorthodox setup of drums, bells and cymbals which he augments and amplifies with surface transducers, microphones, pitch and rhythmic modulation effects, modified megaphones and other electronic devices. His performances unfold along loose structures that leave space for generative accidents and improvisation, responding to the instabilities of feedback manipulation and other unpredictable interactions built into his instrumental system.

Fish El Fish
Syed Kamran Ali (Hunter Gracchus, Harappian Night Recordings) and Jon Marshall (Singing Knives). Project recipe of speech giblets reduction and snatched offal sound smells commonly simmered to create the luminous grounds for a rich curdling, sputtering blood gravy usually found in a plastic bag inside the body cavity.

LDSN
Reading dreamautofictionbiog with various degrees of obfuscation, video collage & possibly sound.

Serf
23 - 25 Wharf Street
Sounds from 20.00h
Suggested donation £5 - £10

2st Episode of the Very Naive show – Anna Peaker @annapeaker_ with the collection of recordings that lean away from abstraction.

Irrespective of esotericism.

A foot-pump harmonium, The Queens Head, Rye, cleaning the cutlery - Dungeness beach - The Moon, A Silver Flower (skipped) - decaying tape loop - Tropical World - autoharp, sine - clock chimes, voice - Here’s something I’d given up on - sleeping cat and chimes - feeding goats in the playground.

Anna Peaker is an artist based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Their sound work centers around experimentation with electronics, processed acoustic instruments and objects, utilising tape machines, sampling techniques, and sound collage.

Very Naive – program hosted by Paola Lesina @paola_lesina — Berlin-based cross-media artist whose work explores the vast potential of sound as a medium for connection, transformation, and dialogue. In this show Paola will be inviting artists to join with their audio contributions, fragments, recordings, unfinished ideas, or things that once mattered but were quietly left behind.

I played a couple of shows in London last month supporting @tristwch_y_fenywod at St. Matthias church for @upset_the_rhythm .

Probably my largest crowds (not that I looked up) and most enjoyable so far. A strictly tape collage affair, the sets included some very old recordings as well as some new things I’ve been working on. Incredibly grateful for this invitation, I had a very nice time (despite being a very lapsed Catholic)!
