a look back on our December trip to Patagonia for @brooksrunning, in honor of it being almost snow running season at home! training doesn’t feel like “training” when your fun-meter is maxed out 🪩
I’m a fun-forward athlete, for better or for worse. I don’t think about data while I’m in the field. like, at all really, ever. while I prefer to train mostly on ~vibes~ I find a ton of value in tracking my data with @corosglobal and taking a deeper look into it later on with @trainingpeaks. good data means fun can be the focus when I’m on the side of a mountain, exactly the way I like it.

there are a lot of opinions out there about what ski mountaineering REALLY is. you didn’t ask for mine, but I’m going to give it to you anyways 🤷🏼♀️
ski mountaineering is anything that involves climbing mountains with skis and challenging yourself! fancy gear & big objectives are allowed but not required. ski mountaineering can be racing or exploring, getting gnarly or just getting plain weird. I love it because there are a million ways it can look, and the only one who gets to say for sure what “counts” is YOU.

we might be the most unlikely trio: one endurance addict, one pro skier with an inclination towards chairlifts, and the most abnormal “normal” guy. needless to say, we are pretty psyched on this for our first time skiing as a team.
