Thinking about home
Took this photo almost 10 years ago when I could only dream of living in a place like the Tetons

Reliving the daily rhythm of pain au chocolat, snow sliding, and great company in my Chamonix photo edit.
Finishing an edit sometimes feels bittersweet. I first picked up a camera to have a way of holding memories tighter, and even still I find myself wanting a stronger dose of that moment. Seeing what I saw when I felt so happy, so alive.
I’m glad I’m obsessed with this pixel pushing, soul stealing machine. And I can’t wait to share some more from this trip.

Chamonix and its mountains have had a hold on me ever since I first saw them nearly three years ago, passing through the valley on a documentary project with the @fishercreative team. That first glimpse left me dreaming of the jagged skylines, wild and adventurous but also deeply connected to a community full of life, shaped by a long history in the mountains. I was so taken that I started learning French on the flight home.
After finally returning with skis, ropes, and a beginner grasp of français, the obsession has been validated and intensified. I’m on a plane back to the Tetons so excited to be home, and already thinking about the next trip back.
Merci aux gens et aux montagnes de Chamonix. J’ai hâte de revenir.
