Im Gespräch mit Schauspieldirektor/Regisseur Nuran David Calis (@nurandavidcalis) und Kostümbildnerin Anna Sünkel (@anna.snkl)
Nuran setzte es sich in seiner Inszenierung zum Ziel, durch den Roman von Alfred Döblin auch mehr über die Gesellschaftsstrukturen der Gegenwart zu erzählen.
Anna vergleicht das spartenübergreifende Musiktheater, an dem auch das Schauspiel maßgeblich beteiligt ist, mit einem modernen Horrormärchen. Besonders die Kostüme unterstreichen das: gruselige Masken, teils am Hinterkopf getragen, sodass Figuren sogar rückwärts gespielt werden können.
