We are glad to invite you to the upcoming group show at Billytown of fourteen alumni of the temporary MA F for Fact (Sandberg Instituut). Visitors walk into a space of fiction: the studio of an imagined artist. The scenography brings together works, research, and studio material, creating a shared identity of many voices and styles.

ICONOGRAPHY & IDEOGRAMS explores the role of symbols and icons through culture and history, weaving meaning and significance as they move through time and space.

’Glory to Mother Scrub’ explicates the connection between the rise of homemaking content on social media and the valorisation of the hybrid superwoman-mother-worker of the Soviet Union. Through thought-provoking and entertaining prose, Tamm’s article oscillates between images of the contemporary 21st femme homemaker and the Soviet clean and neat superwoman, drawing surprising parallels between the two.
