I never posted these pics before bc I honestly thought I lost them for the past 15 years, but this was the earliest photo of my studio setup; taken Sept 4, 2011 on move in day at @wlu_bricker @wilfridlaurieruni 🏫

This was a humble beginning JUST as I touched down on my first day of post-secondary school. I just changed my name to Audaci that June, from Scri||a BøneZ, after releasing my first solo vocal mixape on my Mama's birthday August 2011, called "Straight Off The Launch Pad", which featured the most songs I made with her and it represented new beginnings for me to meet friends and chase my dreams ✨️

Me, Myself & I was the first recorded song in uni, since I made the beat, wrote the lyrics, recorded/mixed the tracks, and bounced the song all on 11/11/2011 🌀💪🏽

It ended up going on a mixtape called "VEGA: Elixir of the Mind", which was Audaci's second project and half of it's songs were recorded during first year in my room at Bricker Rez; as I started to go through new ups and downs and would use always music as a cathartic form to paint out my introspective mind🌬🌌

It's nice being able to see my humble beginnings, even though this set-up TECHNICALLY wasn't the humble beginning, since I was already 6 years into making beats at the time this photo was taken, but anything before that was corrupted from early drives 💽💾

I remember my entire family pitched in to get me a MacBook Pro for graduating high school, especially since I already composed 200 beats by Grade 12. This was JUST before my Grandad gave me his old Mirage home speakers, which I used up til 3rd year, when I could afford to get the studio monitors I got 13 years ago at the Waterloo L&M. I was cookin on the daily!👾🎵🎶

I'm just grateful to have this at the very least, because this was still such a special time for me before all the madness began to make me want step away from the spotlight for a bit to protect my principles🙏🏽🗿

Nothing more healing than being able to revisit this and realize how far I've actually grown and matured, despite not fulfilling my dreams just yet; it's still crazy all the friends I made and wisdom exp I've farmed throughout this stretch of a journey 🫶🏽👣

BaBa NtchR's first song was THE ONLY vocal song I released in the past decade; my way toillustrate sticking to my principles! 🪾🌱🪷

In the first few months of it's release in June 2024, it got over 10k streams, which is a milestone that I am humbled to have hit; especially, when considering it was a song I wrote in 2017. With this being my first single released on streaming platforms, what I found really cool in the insights was how most of it's reception was a several-thousand miles away in Denmark, Australia, n the United Kingdom. Second to the first Big 3 countries was Germany, United States, then Ghana; all before Canada... Maybe I see an upcoming Euro/Afro/Oceana Trip for AudiAudi? 👀❤️‍🔥🗺

Of course, I can't let my head get too big from digital data (or anything tbh).. HOWEVER, I also can't forget to count my blessings eh! 🙏🏽🐦‍🔥☺️

Despite my constant doubt, I still managed to release 255 beats on 15 completely different beat-tapes since 2016. I'm also currently working on my 21st music project, which has been a slow cook because moving forward they're only going to get even more special! Last year was my 20th n 25th anniversary of being in this game after now being involved in music for 26 years n making beats for the past 21 years. I basically started my journey when Luffy first declared he's gonna be King of the Pirates, n the endless vitality due to the longevity of our paths isn't that different tbh 😆 THE ONE PIECE IS REAL LOL

Stay grounded on your journey n don't forget to MIND YOUR DIET because you don't know what's in those waters...🧿🛡🦈

If there's any one song, I'm blessed by the most high to have had this one represent my journey for the past 10 years, as well as to shield me for the future. And saving best for last, I'm insanely grateful to have had legendary artists collaborate with me on it too; such as @lucianomessenjah blessing the @aniwavesound movement in the beginning, as well as @isaxinjah who sonically battled himself through epic solos n a variety of cinematically-immersive SFX using his Sax & Flute, as well as @chucktreece who made a riddim into a reality-shifting mantra with his drum skills❤️‍🔥🫡🙏🏽🦁🫶🏽☮️🌐

The years I spent learning, listening, struggling, observing, practicing, and remaining patient were not wasted time. They were preparation.

I come from workers, musicians, engineers, performers, survivors, and builders. I carry their discipline, creativity, and sacrifice into a new era through my own hands; so I will not waste what was fought for before me.

I will choose mastery over shortcuts.
I will choose integrity over empty recognition.
I will continue learning so my gifts remain useful, sharp, and alive.

I will build things that outlive trends.
I will honour family not through imitation, but through action and creation.

The mindsets, blueprints, machines, records, stories, and dreams passed down to me are not decorations — they are responsibilities.

Before this life is over, I will stand alongside the people who shaped me — not waiting for permission, but fully prepared to contribute to the lineage we carry together.

I owe it to them, to myself, and to those still here to fully realize the gifts I was entrusted with.

If success comes, it will come through effort, consistency, courage, and faith in the work.

I will not shrink my ambitions out of fear, distraction, trends, or impatience.

I will master my craft honestly.
I will build relationships honestly.
I will create work rooted in truth, discipline, and legacy.

I will leave behind something real.

And if history remembers my name, let it be as one who carried the spirit forward while giving it solid ground to stand on.

My studio is my ship.
My brand is my flag.

I was not raised to drift aimlessly.
I was raised to learn the machinery, respect the craft, survive pressure, and move with purpose.

I will captain my course with integrity.
I will not abandon my family, my artistry, or myself for hollow success.

I will build something strong enough to carry others safely.

Every song, performance, design, risk, lesson, and sacrifice is a piece of the vessel.

When people see my flag, I want them to recognize ambition — but also discipline, soul, resilience, and inherited will.

This voyage moves forward because I move it forward. ✊🏽

Stream/download my 20th EP project, When It All Started, by TimeMaster!

This 33-track beat tape blends RnB, Neo-Soul, Y2K Rap, and Hip Hop instrumentals inspired by the early-to-mid 2000s — representing the songs that played on Flow 93.5 and WBLK back when I lived with my Mama and went to sports games — which was also the era I first started making beats, riding shotgun and discovering music between her classic CDs and the radio. As the 20th released musical project, you already know manz had to make it the longest tape with 33 tracks!!!!! Available now for purchase on Bandcamp, and streaming on all digital platforms. You can also use these tracks on TikTok, IG, Snap, and FB audio for your posts and reels!
