Andrea Dratch is a filmmaker, actor, and performance artist based in Colorado. Her work is organic and instinct-led, feeding her creatively in a natural way rather than following structure. She explores life, death, fantasy, shame, and animal instinct through the body as a living, changing vessel of energy and emotion. Her work moves between raw physical experience and inner worlds, where instinct and imagination blur and the body leads before thought.

@sardinethefilm is officially coming HOME to have its COLORADO PREMIERE at @loud.frame in Fort Collins, COLORADO at @thelyriccinema this Memorial Day weekend! ❤️ This festival will give @leashy_is_alysiakraft the recognition she deserves for the original song, “Big Fish in the Bloodstream” that she wrote just for our film before the film was even shot! It was an incredible creative collaboration to say the least!

So excited and proud of our next project, the feature film, @senseofdirectionfilm! I approached my dear friend and novelist, Brooke Hamilton three years ago asking if she would like to write a screenplay with me and thank goodness she said yes because @saltminebooks wrote something so full of love and life and grit. Proud to have my incredible friend and creative partner @jessicamcgaugh as our Director and my lifelong friend and old college roommate from @aadaedu in in NYC, actor and musician @houstonwages co-starring alongside me as Winston Hill. Andrea Dratch is an award-winning filmmaker, actor, director, writer, creator, and performance artist
based in Colorado. Trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, her
instinct-driven work explores life, death, shame, fantasy, femininity, and animal instinct through
raw physical performance and cinematic storytelling.
Her internationally screened avant-garde films include Sardine, Shame on Me, and No
Swimming, alongside live performance works Put Your Shame on Me, Unsealed, and Dirt Don’t
Hurt. Dratch has also appeared in Tina Tina Bo Bina, Reed Gig, Queen of Heart, Womanhood:
The Series, and Small Town Remedies. Through her work, she aims to provoke emotional
honesty and promote creativity as a force for connection, transformation, and self-reclamation.

I will be lying in a bed for three hours in the lobby of The Lyric. Please join me for a life changing exchange of raw human energy. Thank you!

To participate you’ll need to:

Remove your shoes.
Get in bed with me.
Hold eye contact for 30 seconds
before speaking to me.

Then tell me something
you’ve never said out loud.
Anything.
A grief.
A fantasy.
A secret.
A ridiculous fear.

I will not respond.
I will decompose the confession
until it no longer owns you.

You will leave me feeling lighter.

UNSEALED is my live durational piece that goes with my film@sardinethefilm which screens the same day at 5pm at
@loud.frame at the @thelyriccinema from 3-6pm May 23rd!! YOU MUST SEE IT! What is my confession in my film?

Fun fact: I have a live performance art piece that goes with each of my own experimental films!
