In MADAM I’M ADAM, Amy Tong presents three works that unfold repetition as a temporal, haunted, and speculative process, where memory, technology, and myth fracture rather than reproduce.
Ggtv (2025) dematerialises virtual memory, storing it in time. There Was An Attempt I (2025) explores AI collaboration to reimagine prehistoric art and creation myths. Haunted Landscape (2024) was a site-specific installation at HKBU, combining video, live mosquito performance, and motion-triggered audio to explore history and coloniality.

Through these amalgamations, her delicate multimedia explorations—encompassing videos, writings, gelatine, textiles, and paint—reflect themes of generational trauma, myths, and matrilineal connections. Tong earned a B.A. from Arts University Bournemouth and an M.A. from the Academy of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University. She has held solo exhibitions at Square Street Gallery and RNH Space in Hong Kong (both in 2021), and has participated in group presentations in Beijing, Tokyo, and London.

Miu found herself in the Pearl of the East during wartime. Stumbling to find her footing in a new city, she met Huy, a handsome young worker who determined in life. They fell love and lived through the hardship and prospered in their early years. Over time, Huy’s health deteriorated alongside his memory. In reminiscing, Miu repeatedly documented his lingering existence.
