One year ago today, I got the phone call that I have cancer.

I recorded the many highs and lows, including messages to myself, along the way.

I told myself that I look forward to seeing what a better person I become after this, but what I realized is who I really admire is the girl who got through it.

To anyone who gets a cancer diagnosis, I hope my journey reminds you that this can be the hardest AND the most beautiful time of your life. You are unlimited and unstoppable!

This may be my cringiest post yet, but I saw this trend online and really wanted to make my own - mainly for the cake.

I am so proud of myself this year, from advocating for better medical care to hitting career milestones to creating a better living environment for my future.

I never expected to feel my prettiest when I’m nearly 2 weeks into chemotherapy.

One thing this journey has taught me so far, is how LUCKY I am to have friends who celebrate my wins and remind me of my strength and beauty. Thank you @courtneylupilin for the glam session and the special photo shoot. (Those photos are just for me - and my future man 😂, these were just taken after!).

Cancer sucks and there is still a long road ahead, but it has also led to some of the most magical memories already.

I have breast cancer.

I’ve always been an open book, and this new chapter is no exception. Today marks the first step of my treatment. The road to this point has been filled with emotions, but I’m stepping into it with a positive mindset and the confidence that I’ll continue navigating this in a way that future-me will look back on with pride.

I also want to give the biggest thank you to those who have helped me through this journey so far - especially @alissa.ogen . I always knew that you’re my biggest cheerleader, but you really are the best big sister ever.
