Take a closer look at the 1960 edition of The Green Book from the @lapubliclibrary archives with author and cultural documentarian, Candacy Taylor. Her work shines a light on the living history across the nation and in Los Angeles, including historic Green Book sites within the city.

Cultural documentarian and author of Overground Railroad, @candacytaylor, walked us through the @lapubliclibrary's premier Green Book collection—a travel guide for Black motorists used for decades when traveling through segregated America. LAPL holds the second largest and one of the best-preserved collections in the world, serving as inspiration for her research.
