Absolutely blown away to see my book reviewed in today's NY Times. I saw the review online beforehand, but, wow, hard copy makes it real.

"'We are not alone' may refer to our existence in the galaxy, but it's also a signifier of family life, and Oliva is most of all concerned with the relationships here on Earth, where, despite the presence of others, too often we feel lonely, misunderstood or invisible."

It's Seattle Book Bingo season! If I may be so bold: The Radiant Dark would make a superb "Outer Space" or "Historical" pick for readers who lean more toward the literary fiction/family drama side of things.
