FREAKS ONLY is back at Club Tee Gee in Atwater Village again THIS FRIDAY!

Last month’s party with guest DJs @roxanne_roll and @alexoxley was our biggest one yet! I found myself grinning ear to ear hearing them spin. They’ll be joining me on the decks once again this Friday.

Post punk, new wave, Italo, house, and dirty disco all night!

FEEL MORE ART. This past weekend my dear friend Marcela took Lisa and I to Cocktails in Heaven. An exhibition and art installation, documenting the memorizing work on Steven Arnold (who tragically died from AIDS-related complications in 1994). Taking place at @delvazprojects , allowing us a glimpse into his artistic life and recreation of Zanzabar, the space he called home and creative studio. I’ve been aware of Steven’s work for some years and to see it in the wild was pure magic. Cocktails in Heaven runs til April 25th and will no doubt spark inspiration in these tumultuous times. A much needed creative injection.

FREAKS ONLY returns with our monthly throwdown at @clubteegee THIS FRIDAY!

Joining me on the decks this week, are good friends (and excellent DJs) @roxanne_roll and @alexoxley, who you might know for their roles as the globetrotting DJ duo/remix project/party, @fleetmac_wood.

They’ll be dusting off a different side of their collection with us this Friday, and we’ll be playing post-punk, new wave, italo, house, and dirty disco all night!

Thurs 26th for the official launch of Dial Midnight at @golddiggersla where I’ll be dipping into forgotten corners from my vinyl collection. Then it’s on to glorious Boise of @treefortfest reuniting with friends there, and closing out the Sunday night with a @horrorhifi dj set 🦇🪩 #dialmidnightdisco #horrorhifi #sadsongsforgoodtimes

After my all-vinyl set at @treefortfest last March I really wanted to push myself, so for this new residency I’ll be focused on playing vinyl and can’t to see where this will lead the night.

Musically I plan to go right across the map. Disco belters, accidental club hits, kosmic electro, wavey 80s and techno curveballs shall be on the menu. RSVP link in bio.

The Black Dog ⚔️ Thinking man’s techno? You decide. This loss stinks. Ken Downie’s body of work is some of the most poignant electronic music, that changed the way I saw and felt about techno. During the mid-2000s as a haphazard promoter in the Lake District, I aimed to book the Black Dog. The booking never came to fruition but I recall how intrigued and gentlemanly Ken was.
