My final publication for my final ever university module, a culmination of everything I've learnt and done the past three years.
Titled 'Konik', it acts as an exploration of my personal feelings about belonging in two places at once and reflecting on generations, using the Konik horse as a medium to do so.

I was able to catch some very fleeting sun before the weather turned for the worse. Using the crumbling walls of my front garden as a backdrop.

The final publication has been printed and bound, just finalising some pictures and flip throughs before I post it.

Double sided print, single colour teal, saddle stitch bound with red bookbinding thread.

I'm prepping to print the final version of it tomorrow so I'm looking over all the various different grammar and punctuation mistakes before it goes to print. There's only small changes happening now, but it's weird seeing how it's changed so quickly from being a regular a5 printer paper proof (unseen to the world) to something that's been corrected and changed and reformatted into a final outcome.

Out in the sun reading my most recent draft of my publication whilst wearing my brand new screenprinted horse t-shirt! You could call it horsemaxxing.

I'm going to have some of the printed rectangle pieces with me this Saturday at the market. They're all on scrap pieces of fabric, but would work really well as large patches or as part of sewing projects.

We decided to focus on traditional patterns and textiles found between our two cultures, Polish papercuts and Indonesian textile patterns.
It was super exciting to research into the visuals and to develop some techniques that I've used before, eg laser cutting.

Some koniks in the sunlight.

Did some more shadow painting whilst the sun was out in the studio.
I laser cut some horses that I had in my sketchbook so that I had a more solid shape to angle, I wish the sun came in at a lower angle so the legs could become suuupppeeer long.
