• Some frames from a deeply rewarding collaboration. This project highlights the NutriSource Facility Dog Program. Pups trained through the program spend their days visiting children receiving medical treatment and their families.
A huge thank you to director @stashcapar for his honest approach to the creative process. His personal journey brought depth and emotional resonance to the project.
… and always a pleasure getting together with the Minnesota team.

Here JC, @johnchuck.himself , reenacts his work, tattooing superfan Geraldine Mannie.
Yes, this really happened.
Timberwolves | Bring the Nice
dir. @michael_medoway
Lighting note:
I remember on the day, second-guessing the choice to fully obscure the window with diffusion—wondering if some visibility or added texture like branches might help. But in the end, I believe my instincts were supportive…What’s behind the window matters far less than guiding the viewer’s eye to the action. That focus should drive the decision, especially when you risk convuluting the frame.

• Air Force EOD : Step into Our Office
‘Scope’ is a word that frequently comes up during pre-production for just about every @medoway project. We usually aim to maximize limited locations to support a wide range of activities and story elements. For this Air Force EOD (Explosives Ordnance Disposal) spot, we covered a variety of scenarios and environments that the Air Force might encounter in real-world operations—all without leaving our designated Florida AF base.
All effects were practical, thanks to the combined efforts of the EOD team, production logistics, and the art department, with visual enhancements courtesy of our versatile lighting and grip teams.
Shout out to @Medoway for supporting in-camera effects as much as possible, pushing for a visceral experience on both sides of the camera. I think it becomes more fulfilling for all parties when practical capture is prioritized.
I’m proud of what our team accomplished, as it stands as a testament to the value of a familiar crew, where shorthand and history are critical for speed and efficiency.
I’ve also become very fond of the field of view offered when pairing FF+ anamorphic lenses with a full-frame sensor for 2:1 or 16:9 extraction. It’s finally given me a more intimate approach to Anamorphic lensing, especially in cases where 2.40 is not the aim.
