Very happy to have celebrated Collections Typologie’s fifth research project about the camping tent with a beautiful exhibition during Salone del Mobile at my dear friend’s office @albertostradastudio.
This exhibition was designed and co-curated in dialogue with @sinasohrab and it presented the last exploration we conducted together with @guillaume_bloget, @guillaume_jandin and @raphaeldaufresne.
The concept was born from a simple question: how to physically present such a big object in such a small space? And the answer was: through exhibiting models.
In the end, we put together 14 different tent models, each illustrating a different step in tent evolution.
We were so lucky to find such beautiful historical models coming from many different countries in the process. Among them was a historical model of The North Face Oval Intention inspired by Buckminster Fuller's research, but also models from the private collection of Japanese designer @shigekifujishiro.
We were also very lucky to be supported by @ferrino_official who made five models specially for the exhibition.
The most detailed among the selection was certainly the Peach Ridge 2 made by @attis_tents, a young British manufacturer producing sustainable cotton tents.
All of this material was enriched by texts and images, among which were some beautiful prints from @lejartanaick and @marinearmandin, specially photographed for Typologie: The Camping Tent.
Thank you to everyone that helped put together this exhibition:

Happy to share photos of Typologie: The Camping Tent, an exhibition to celebrate the research behind the book put together for the Milano Salone 2026.
The exhibition, supported by Italian manufacturer Ferrino @ferrino_official was co-curated in dialogue between @sinasohrab and @theloniousgoupil told the story of the camping tent through a series of scale models. The presentation included works by both designers and manufacturers; among them historical models relating to the Oval Intention by The North Face, pieces from the private collection of @shigekifujishiro , as well as pieces produced by Ferrino and @attis_tents specifically for the exhibition.
Thank you to all that came to visit throughout the week!
