This look is inspired in my devotion to the Virgin of Fátima. The softness of the figure and the light blue tones that define her image became the foundation of the piece, translating spirituality into couture.
It features Ludovic’s signature eyelets and lacing, hand-painted to blend into the pale blue of the garment. The cups are made entirely from French blue lace, woven on traditional Leavers looms in Calais-Caudry, giving the fabric a fluid, almost weightless quality.
A sheer veil completes the look, finished with hand-embroidered lace flowers. Hidden inside the dress, placed next to my heart, two phrases are hand-embroidered in Spanish: “Donde ella está, el alma encuentra refugio” and “Y líbranos del mal amén.” These words act as a private prayer, carried within the piece.
