2025-26 was the time I learned how to close my eyes and yield, even just for a second, in the midst of chaos. I cried and grieved more than usual and I was also more brave. I was on fire, crazed with work, and I laughed and grew older while loving deeply. This show is kind of about teenage-me, and how much she lives in adult-me but I’m not kicking her out anymore.

Wow - what an amazing few days we’ve had! 🖤 We were so honoured to be a part of 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝘅, a incredible show written by @aftonsam, musically directed by @rubie____ and sang with members of @f__choir 🎶 After a few days of rehearsals we performed it last night at @attenboroughctr and it was a roaring success! Singing off this hellscape app with a frayed heart and a longing for the light to return. I am struggling with the compost this year, piles of clean laundry on the floor beside the bed, a torn ache in the chest each morning when I wake.

This season has brought me higher highs than ever, and I want to express gratitude and compassion and hope and spirit. So many people that I love loved me back.

Going to my end of year choir feast tonight and then dipping into the marshes for the next few weeks of solstice reckoning. No more pretending that I am not a liturgical, cyclical, ritual creature. I am. This season is dark for me every year so poooof here I go to the candles, the staring, the blankets, the cold swims.
