Announcing Salford Everywhere, an ambitious public artwork project that will paint a video portrait of Salfordians from across the city, projected as giants moving across its buildings, weaving together people and place, produced by @fromtheother._ 🏙️

Created by award winning artist @mfprosier, whose work blends film, sound and community collaboration, Salford Everywhere will culminate in a city gathering at Peel Park to celebrate Salford's people on its 100th birthday.

The film will be projected, forming a monumental living portrait that will light up the city this autumn, accompanied by a bespoke live mix from Salford based Radio 6Music presenter and DJ @afrodeutsche

A flurry of chilled reds and alfresco margs can mean only one thing… it’s been a whole year of renae! Twelve months of skilled selectors and proper party starters, superior sound and dedicated dancers, art workshops, fundraisers, community events and vinyl goodies. Thursday kicks off with synthesist, composer, performer and DJ Afrodeutsche, whose work across film, 6Music, NTS and beyond has pushed boundaries for over a decade. Expect aquatic electro and sleek techno in our living room. Support comes from our super talented General Manager and DJ Una Lee, whose blend of disco groovers, Balearic movers and acid soothers could get the pot plants dancing.

Friday brings a special B2B as renae co-owners Harris and Brad throw down house heaters and deepest dub techno, pulled from the freshest new releases and a collective four decades in the game. Party hats under the headphones guys.

Saturday kicks off at 2pm as resident wax dealers Future Volumes take over until 8, with staff and regulars spinning deep daytime selections. Plus 10% off all records. Margs and bargains!

From 8 onwards it’s regular faces Oriki and Stu Richards, the former bringing rhythm-driven mix of African-inspired beats, UK garage, soulful house, while the latter slips from jazz and soul to reggae, disco, and Detroit house, all the ingredients needed for a sea of smiling dancers.

Meanwhile, esteemed cartoon crew Talking Drums get festive on the TOPP. floor with special guest Camilla Reghenzi. I sent him cassettes of “we're doing this and that blah, blah, blah”. So, sound and recording sound was there from the beginning. My whole cassette collection was of things my Aunt used to send me. She lived in London while I was growing up in Devon and she'd send me recordings of pirate radio!"⁠
