AES+F is pleased to participate in MYSTICA VISIO. San Francesco, Jacopone e le arti, curated by Massimo Mattioli, opening on May 24, 2026 in Todi, Italy.

Presented across Sala delle Pietre, Museo Civico, and Tempio di San Fortunato, the exhibition brings contemporary art into dialogue with ancient, Renaissance, and Baroque works, as part of the celebrations marking the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi.

AES+F will present Allegoria Sacra, 2011, single-channel video installation, at Sala delle Pietre dei Palazzi Comunali.

Inspired by Giovanni Bellini’s enigmatic painting, Allegoria Sacra transforms Purgatory into a contemporary international airport — a liminal space of transit, waiting, fear, hope, and transformation.

Castel Belasi 2025. In the International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation, an exhibition with works by international and Italian artists to reflect on the concept of fragility and disappearance, between preservation, rebellion and spirituality in an era in which convictions and certainties are dissolving like snow in the sun.

Projections, video installations, monuments and sculptural works, photo collages, sound works, red-tinted ice and shamanic dances stimulate thought about the speed of the current climate change, its power and the need to act now in order to limit its dramatic consequences.

The exhibition is part of a trilogy inspired by the Dolomites and dedicated to water, which includes “Come pioggia (Like rain)” (2023) and “Come isole (Like islands)” (2024).
