🎉 We’re 5! 🎉 - Today we mark the 5-year anniversary of Adre. It’s not just a milestone it’s a statement. Because according to U.S. business data, nearly half of new businesses don’t make it to year 5.

Here’s what the data tells us:
🚨 About 20% of businesses fail in the 1st year
🚨 Roughly 50% don’t make it to year 5
🚨 Only about a third are around after 10 years

So today isn’t just a celebration it’s a tribute to resilience, teamwork, vision and the community that made this possible.

Notable company milestones:
🔹 Certified B Corp: 1st Black woman owned real estate development in PNW, 2nd in the world
🔹 Added a new service, Real Estate Advisory Services, to complement our original offering, Full Service Development Partnerships
🔹 Raised over $50M for our clients and their projects
🔹 Directed $10.5M of project dollars to BIPOC and MWESB-owned companies
🔹 Completed our first built project for Parrott Creek, which won the top Healthcare Award at IIDA Oregon Chapter
🔹 Grew to a team of 10 employees (6 full-time and 4 part-time)
🔹 Won 5 project awards from AIA Oregon, IIDA Oregon Chapter, Softwood Lumber Board, USDA Forest Service, and the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH)
🔹 Received 8 company awards including from Daily Journal of Commerce Oregon, Building Diversity, and In The Lead Women-Owned Business

Thank you to every client, partner, consultant, funder, and community member who has been part of this journey.

Looking forward to Year 7 (and many more)! 🚀

Parrott Creek won "Best in Category for Healthcare" 🏆 from the International Interior Design Association (IIDA Oregon Chapter) annual Design Excellence Awards marking our first recognition in the healthcare category. ✨

The award reflects the many conversations, refinements, and collaborations that shaped an environment where youth can heal and where staff and families feel seen, supported, and inspired + positions Parrott Creek as a national model for trauma-informed design that is empathetic and human-centered.💛

The design fosters calm, safety, and dignity - qualities often missing in healthcare spaces. Every detail, from materials and colors to spatial flow and lighting, was chosen with care to ease stress and promote comfort. 🌿

Congratulations Fowler Interior Design on your win!

🚀- Adre pursued B Corp Certification by BLab to prove what we’ve always known: purpose means more when it’s measured. 📐

And Adre’s making history while we’re at it:
🏆 - Score: 115 (threshold: 80)
✨ - 6* Impact Business Models
🥇 - First Black-owned real estate development B Corp in the Pacific Northwest
🌎 - Second BCorp Black woman-owned development company in the world
🏢 - In the fastest-growing PNW B Corp sector: Built Environment

⚖️ This is just the beginning. Adre is building a new model for real estate development, one that puts people, planet, and profit on equal footing. We’re ready to be part of this collective movement for systems change.

*Note: "Most companies completing the B Impact Assessment have 0-2 IBMs. It is difficult to earn credit in an IBM, and extremely rare that a company has 3 or more IBMs that are applicable."

"I'm grateful to have been part of the Tory Burch Foundation community this past year—a truly enriching experience. As a service-based entrepreneur among many product-based founders, I was pushed to see my business from new perspectives. I learned about corporate sponsorships and partnerships, which opened up exciting possibilities for how @adre.dev could grow and better support our clients."

"Being in a multigenerational cohort—especially with younger founders—also shifted how I think about tools, tech (like AI), and branding. The fellowship helped me realize I’m an operator at heart, and gave me language and insight into how I lead. I’m leaving with greater clarity, confidence, and community."

Parrott Creek from a different view. The buildings are complete, staff are in place, and the youth are moved/moving in. The last elements of the project are completing a sports field ⚽️ and an outdoor multi-purpose court which will be used for basketball 🏀, arts/crafts projects 🎨, family picnics 🧺, and graduations 🎓.

👀 We are looking for DONORS that care about kids, sports, and youth empowerment who want to sponsor💰 the multi-purpose court and sports field. DM us if interested in learning more.
