Only one thing sets a professional DJ apart from an amateur: countless hours of hard work.

And the reality is, most of those hours are spent in silence, alone, locking in. Or playing empty rooms, moving monitors around to make a gig happen, selling tickets just to secure a booking.

This is what making your way up through the scene actually looks like.

Being a real selector is about the hours you have put in and the experiences that came from them. It is not about having the latest sample pack, or securing the most expensive record on Discogs. Do not let any guru sell you fake promises. There is no shortcut.
