The seventh episode of Dark Womb was live on Fango radio this Friday. This time SantaMama on duties.
Dark Womb is a space where two mothers meet to unite their passion for electronic music. It's the intersection of darkness and disco, with its most eclectic subgenres. With a focus on leftfield, dark electro, industrial, new beat, synthwave, and acid, each episode creates an atmosphere that captures the raw energy and emotion of these genres, reflecting the complexity and beauty of motherhood, life, and the mysteries of the womb.
Led by SantaMama and Gisela, Dark Womb aims to offer a sonic experience that ranges from pulsating basslines to tribal rhythms intertwined with darker melodies. Moving from slower bpm to more pressing rhythms, this darkly atmospheric universe conceals beauty, innovation, and a sense of liberation from the everyday.
Giulia @giuliabigioli (aka Gisela) and Francesca (aka SantaMama) are two music selectors and mothers, united by the desire to rediscover the energy of the dance floor. Their sets are characterized by the search for unconventional and hypnotic sounds from diverse cultures, often dominated by dark atmospheres. They join forces for Fango Radio with the aim of exploring the darker side of disco, reflecting the visceral connection both have experienced between music and motherhood.
