Découvert dans FUCK ME BLIND à @trentetrente.lesrencontres en janvier, le duo Matteo Sedda - Marco Labellarte s'installe à l'Atelier des Marches pour une semaine de résidence dédiée à la prochaine création de @_matteosedda_ : THE PERFECT MOMENT.
Peu avant de mourir de complications liées au sida, une rétrospective intitulée "The Perfect Moment" fut consacrée au photographe Robert Mapplethorpe. Un titre qui évoque l’instant exact où l’image capte le regard et le retient dans une tension entre impulsion érotique et puissance esthétique. De ce piège hypnotique naît le point de départ du nouveau duo chorégraphique.

It’s been a year full of research, new encounters, and the deepening of old friendships, making this journey absolutely on fire 🔥
👾 Me, @oneclaphand , @margherita_scalise , and @men_in_pain want to thank DNA and all its partners for the incredible support through residencies and presentations at their festivals, giving FUCK ME BLIND the chance to find its form.
The first and the second photo are not part of DNA. The first was taken at the end of a powerful residency in @boraboraresidencycentre with Igor and @moreno_solinas , who worked with us as artistic mentors. Without you, FUCK ME BLIND would not have the same taste 👅 The second one is one of Derek Jarman’s last painting FUCK ME BLIND.

@_matteosedda_, chorégraphe, danseur et activiste, a été choisi par Grand Studio pour la promotion 2026-2027 du @reseaugrandluxe !
Fort de ses collaborations, en tant qu’interprète, avec plusieurs artistes dont Jan Fabre, Enzo Cosimi, Igor x Moreno et Aïda Gabriëls, Matteo Sedda mène une recherche chorégraphique marquée par son expérience avec le VIH, qui rend hommage aux artistes disparus à cause du GRID (Gay-Related Immune Deficiency) / sida.
Explorant la tension entre éros et mort, il se réapproprie les codes des danses du passé pour faire dialoguer mémoire historique et réinterprétation artistique. Dans ce dialogue entre présent et passé, son corps infecté devient le point de départ d’une nouvelle écriture chorégraphique.
Peu avant son décès de complications liées au sida, une rétrospective intitulée « The Perfect Moment » fut consacrée au photographe Robert Mapplethorpe. Un titre qui évoque l’instant précis où l’image capture le regard du public et l’emprisonne dans un rapport de pouvoir entre impulsion érotique et puissance esthétique. C’est dans ce piège hypnotique que Matteo Sedda établit le point de départ de sa nouvelle création intitulée
« The Perfect Moment ».

FR - FUCK ME BLIND est un duo chorégraphique inspiré du film Blue de Derek Jarman.
Dans ce film, Jarman fait de sa mort imminente, due aux complications liées au sida dont il est affecté, l’ultime et active justification de son existence. Il réalise ainsi un film dont la seule image est un plan fixe de l’International Klein Blue. Une image fixe et pourtant active, physique.
Pour FUCK ME BLIND, Matteo Sedda utilise les mêmes outils non narratifs du film de Jarman, pour créer à son tour une expérience hypnotique qui entrelace les corps dans un paysage homoérotique. Dans cette force centrifuge, les danseurs s’enroulent et se façonnent l’un l’autre tandis que l’Éros et le Thanatos se pénètrent. Ils tournent et tournent encore jusqu’à invoquer une nouvelle danse homo-folk comme une ultime et active justification de leurs existences.
