आप लोगों से स्वर्गीय पिता के बारे में कई दफ़ा बात की होगी पर कभी माँ की बात नहीं की।
माँ और मेरा रिश्ता भी नदी के उसपानी की तरह है जो भंवर में और किनारे पर एक ही होने के बावजूद बिलकुल भिन्न महसूस होता है। बचपन से लेकर अबतक मैंने इस उथलपुथल को शांत होते बहुत नज़दीक से देखा है। माँ को समझने में भी बहुत वक़्त लगा। पिता के गुज़र जाने से पहले कभी माँ में कोई लड़की दिखाई ही नहीं दी। सिर्फ़ माँ दिखाई दी और उससे जुड़ी अपेक्षाएं।
पिछले कुछ सालों में पिता की बात करते हुए कन्धों पर माँ के ऋण का वज़न बढ़ता महसूस हुआ। हम इंसान आदतन भी मजबूर हैं, जो नहीं होता उसकी ही बात करते रह जाते हैं।
कुछ महीनों पहले माँ के बचपन की यह तस्वीर मिली। जब माँ, माँ नहीं थीं। पत्नी भी नहीं थीं।उस तस्वीर में पहली दफ़ा एक लड़की दिखाई दी। दो चोटी बांधे हुए बस एक 15 साल की लड़की। उस तस्वीर की आखों में देखने पर अपनी ज़िन्दगी में मुझे पहली दफ़ा मेरा वजूद दिखाई नहीं दिया। जैसे मैं होते हुए भी नहीं हूँ। सिर्फ़ दिखाई दी दो चोटी बांधे एक 15 साल की लड़की।
इस बार घर गया तो उस तस्वीर को छाप कर कुछ कपड़े बना कर ले गया, माँ को दिखाए तो माँ की चमकती आँखों में एक ऊर्जा दिखाई दी। उनसे बिना पूछे उनका पहला reaction रिकॉर्ड कर लिया। आपके साथ साझा कर रहा हूँ।
माँ ने उत्सुकता से कहा कि एक-एक टीशर्ट उनकी बहनों को भी दे देंगे। मैंने कहा हाँ दे देंगे :) जोश-जोश में बड़े आत्मविश्वास से एक वायदा भी कर आया कि अब मासियां क्या पूरा India आपकी शक़्ल अपने सीने पे पहनेगा।
