But the truth is that fatigue is a privilege- a privilege that people who’s lives have been obliterated don’t have. With so much atrocity taking place across the world, it’s hard to know where to start when it comes to pro-active help, and change, and allyship.

So start with putting money in the pockets of real people, who need you. This is not insignificant. Don’t let the world tell you it is. Every boycotted product helps, every time you educate yourself and others it helps- but these people, Shaima, Nisreen and their families need money to survive at the very least. Everything is expensive. Medicine for family members, blankets for their children, every little thing.

I urge you to help- not because I’m trying to preach, say I’m better than anyone- just because these people have kindly reached out for help, and I wonder if we can help them, even just a tiny amount.
