We are delighted to announce that Demon Media has become the latest group to successfully apply for support under our Group Grant Scheme.
The award made a contribution towards the cost of 8 members attending the Student Radio Association Conference, which this year was held in Salford, between 13-15 April. This high-profile event offers participants from all over the U.K. a valuable opportunity to attend a series of presentations and workshops delivered by industry experts. It’s also a platform for establishing important contacts in a highly competitive industry by networking with key stakeholders & (if desired) having a demo tape critiqued by sector professionals.
Making this award gave us particular pleasure, as Adam played an important part in writing the proposal which brought the SRA Conference to DMU in 2017; the last time it was staged in Leicester.
With all clubs and societies currently in the process of committee changeover, it’s a good time to remind those taking up roles that our Group Grant Scheme will be available again throughout the next academic year (2026/27). It’s never too early to begin thinking about how your members could benefit from a cash award of up to £1,000.
