As the current regime unleashes its attacks on the left and so many of our communities, we need to fortify ourselves to resist the political repression we see intensifying by the day. It’s a moment that requires integrity and courage – and collectivity. One of the strongest ways for us to protect our movements and each other is to develop a strong culture of resistance based on solidarity and connection.

In this spirit, we're releasing the updated guide to contribute to building a culture that will help us stay strong, resilient, and focused with our eyes on the world we are hungry for.

History teaches us that political repression is aimed most violently at organizers and communities of color. We also know that white people have often had the least developed practices around security. We all have a responsibility to protect all our movements by strengthening our security practices. The storms are here and more are coming.

Jonathan Alingu of Central Florida Jobs With Justice will be joining Ruth Ifakemi Efungbemi Jeannoel, founder and director of Fanm Saj, Inc, and Katherine Franco, founder of Neighborhood Fridge. Jonathan currently serves as Co-Director to Central Florida Jobs with Justice and has been involved in social justice organizing work for the last 17 years.

This webinar brings together potent perspectives from Black leaders advancing community-led healing and food justice initiatives as acts of resistance against rising fascism.

This virtual panel will include panelists Ruth Ifakemi Efungbemi Jeannoel, author of Restorative Justice Practices Circle Keeping for Community Healing and founder and director of Fanm Saj, Inc, Katherine Franco, founder of Neighborhood Fridge, a decentralized mutual aid network in Central Florida, and Jonathan Alingu, Co-Director to Central Florida Jobs with Justice, a coalition of labor, community, student groups, and faith-based groups fighting for justice alongside workers and their communities.
