On October 19th, I had the privilege once again to gather a group of local doers yet this time @StatueEllisNPS for The After Hour – Liberty, Stillness & Brunch — an intimate excursion exploring how stillness and story shape the communities we build. A policymaker, a writer and thespian, singer-writer, photographer, creative producer... So grateful for those able to accept the invite. 👐🏾

Rooted in the fact that the DOERS NEED A PAUSE — and to truly LISTEN — to ourselves first, to each other, and to the ever evolving communities that surround us. 👂🏾

One Guest Offered: We [Black Americans] especially descendants of enslavement have been both resilient because we’ve had to and the leaders of accountability for the country that defined ‘liberty’ and ‘freedom’ for us yet continuously fail to live up to those pursuits.
