This guy's favourite finger is the middle finger.
An incredible artist with vision and originality. Check his photography and videography practice if you haven't already. Or check his breaking if you haven't already.
All thriller, no filler.
Truly incredible how much original material this guy has.
From an old interview, he likes to take what others might find wack, and make it dope. I always thought that was a really fresh approach.
Words are insufficient to describe this round, where he begins with a hip twist, step back around to power rock, power move entry to a figure four mill tap, tiger tail worm/belly slide, tap mill, fold, tap mill, right arm stab up to front sweep, anchoring the left foot for a rollback thread to a shoulder freeze variation holding the head and foot together, backspin-coindrop-pump up into a stabbed freeze version of the freeze holding head and food together, popping out into a half front sweep sliding back onto the butt into a front hook, leg switch, step around, drop arm behind, half deadleg-cancel to a half rotation knee spin to step back into a front hook, leg switch to step into left side front hook, same-side left knee thread into windmill collapse, body thread, small kip up into a pseudo-baby freeze holding right elbow with opposite hand, no arm dolphin dive, step into CC, front hook, CC variation with cross over, butt-hook transition to across-shoulder roll to back roll into a goddamn I have no words for this, a 1-leg twisting headstand bridge? and finally gets out of it by popping off a right arm stab into a ninja to belly slide to kick out to twist in and stepping up to bring legs together into a b-boy pose.
I suppose the reason we dance is to communicate those things that are beyond formal logic, reasoning and words, bridging our interior worlds with the physicality of our exterior world.
"The longest freeze Noah's ever held in his life!"
he indeed held that roll back grab elbow freeze for a long time. brought me back to the 2000s era of long ass freeze hang times.
it feels like we live in a time where there's no time to just hold a freeze with nary a care in the world. just that one freeze. instead we're addicted to more, even if sometimes less is more. there can be elegance and beauty in less. but I think the greatest beauty in knowing when it's enough.
a great round, so much fun to watch mr. noski.
Does the Toronto scene have a next generation?
After seeing all the kids battling in the top 16, I think gotta say "yes"!
But only time will tell.
Will they get injured? Find love? Get addicted to video games?
Find out next time on...

Happy Coach! @OntonSNC

Collab of the year! We finally got to battle in the mall!
Thank god for the kids keeping breaking in Toronto alive.
Roen was one of several young breakers bringing high level moves to the battle. Showing an advanced level of understanding of the dance here beyond his years.
So cool π₯
I first met the cat burglar at Rightfoot Studio. It's no longer there, but that place was one of the first places I saw streetdance in Toronto.
Always dope to see someone keep to their craft years later.
It's rare.
Because Capitalism tends to crush your soul into a fine paste and make you cry uncle until you give up all your hobbies and spare time to feed the Hobbesian machine of cruel productivity.
Don't let it.
Keep dancing.
Never underestimate the power of love.
With enough love, love for yourself, for your community, and for the earth, you too can hit floating side baby thread to 90 back down to a side planche.
Be the change you want to feel in this world and lifetime β€οΈ
