Titles change. The calling doesn’t.
I’ve lived many chapters in one career, media rooms, boardrooms, red carpets, and the quiet spaces where real decisions get made.
For a long time, "success" (a term I've always struggled with and often rejected) meant the next role, the next business, the next tv show, the next milestone. On paper, it worked. But eventually the question shifted from what I was achieving to who I was becoming.
Burnout has a way of clarifying what matters. So I chose myself. Not to disappear but to realign. To build something that lasts.
Industries shift. Platforms change. Titles evolve. Purpose doesn’t.
When you anchor to mission, you stop chasing and start creating. You move from reacting to leading.
This is that mission:
Helping visionary leaders scale their influence, amplify their impact, and build legacies without losing themselves along the way. This chapter isn’t about a role. It’s about movement. It’s about what happens when strategy meets purpose and ambition meets alignment. What’s next, we build.
So tell me,what are you building? And could we build it together?

Ladies do you often feel guilty or shameful for prioritizing yourself ? 🥲❤️🩹
We get it but we are here to remind you that when you honor yourself, you establish healthy boundaries with others and learn to say “no” when necessary. Honoring oneself is an essential part of personal growth, well-being, and happiness. Taking care of yourself first can enable you to show up for others in a better way ❤️🫶🏾.
Comment below one small or big way you will honor/ show up for yourself this week. 👇🏾✨

Post-surgery update:
Turns out the hardest part of knee surgery isn’t the knee…
it’s the sitting still.
Right now I’m somewhere between:
“honor the healing” and “can we speed this up?”
Healing first.
Comeback loading.

My body said what my spirit had been trying to whisper for years:
“Sit YOUR A$@ down.”
Not because I’m weak.
Not because I’m done.
But because the way I was moving was no longer sustainable.
Almost 3 weeks post unilateral compartmental knee replacement surgery at 48… and I’m still learning stillness.
If you’ve built your identity around pushing through, caregiving, achieving, surviving, and constantly “handling it”…
this one is for you.🤍

I stood with the one and only @case.kenny in Miami. And we vibed. We talked about curiosity. Playfulness. The stories we tell ourselves when life gets hard.
And he said something I haven’t been able to shake:
You can be completely grounded in who you are and still leave room to grow. To change your mind. To see things differently.
That’s not weakness. That’s wisdom.
Your feelings are not your identity. You might feel stuck right now, or overwhelmed, or disconnected. But that is not the whole of who you are.
The way we speak to ourselves matters. Especially when we’re trying to find our way back to ourselves.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, watch this one. It was right on time.

There’s a certain kind of power that doesn’t come from titles, followers, or proximity.
It comes from being deeply rooted in who you are. From women opening doors for one another. From conversations that nourish instead of perform. From spaces where impact, wellness, softness, and leadership can exist together.
The older I get, the more I realize power is evolving. It’s less about commanding the room and more about creating room for others. Less performance, more connection. Less posturing, more substance.
That’s the energy I felt here.
Thank you to @joannacoles , who was truly a mentor in my head from afar during my years as an editor at Hearst, for continuing to create spaces for thoughtful conversation and connection. Thank you to @uber and @thedailybeast for helping bring it to life.
And congratulations to @emmagrede for leading with a different kind of power. We see you.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the women, mothers, mothers-to-be, and those who mother in ways both seen and unseen.

And congratulations to @emmagrede for leading with a different kind of power. We see you.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the women, mothers, mothers-to-be, and those who mother in ways both seen and unseen.

You can feel when people create something with love.
From the producers to the camera crew, every person behind The Shift helped instill intention, care, and purpose into these transformations.
This isn't just another digital show. It's a room full of people committed to pouring into others and showing up for the mission every single day. And once you meet the team behind the cameras, you’ll understand why the work hits different.

People see the on camera transformations but they don’t always see the people pouring into them behind the scenes.
On the final day of filming The Shift, Tai Beauchamp pours into the crew bringing the show to life.
Because purpose driven work impacts everybody in the room… not just the person in front of the camera.

A partial knee replacement.
Not how I imagined this chapter…48 feels early… but here we are.
Years as an athlete, miles as a runner… I earned this knee.
But committing to surgery? Not convenient. It interrupted everything.
Still, when your body whispers, you listen before it starts shouting.
After surgeries, a car accident, and arthritis that made movement painful… I knew it was time.
So I chose my health.
I chose healing.
Here’s to rebuilding and coming back stronger, just differently.
If you have had an intrusive surgery- what products or practices helped you heal? I’d love to know.

Baby, an emoji can acknowledge.
But it can’t always hold.
A ❤️ is sweet.
But connection isn’t just something we react to. It’s what we practice.
Mental Health Awareness Month got me thinking…
maybe it’s time to add the sentence.

Not everything you build is a business.
Some things are jobs you created for yourself.
No shame in either- but there is a difference.
Did you build something that works for you… or something that only works because of you?
Clarity changes everything.
If this hits, go deeper with me. Subscribe to The Middle Ages on Substack—where I’ll share a very vulnerable truth about what I’ve realized as a both a “successful” entrepreneur who has also felt like she’s failed.
Because both can be true. And there’s power in understanding why.
