Feeling beyond grateful today.

In 2020 when I lost access to all my accounts I honestly thought my music career was over. I lost everything I had built. My income, my audience, my momentum. I didn’t know how I was going to pay bills or even eat. If it wasn’t for my incredibly supportive girlfriend, I would’ve been homeless. This was the lowest point of my life. There were times I felt like I was better off not being here.

But when I started music over 10 years ago, I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t quit. No matter what.

In 2015, Lady Gaga was honoured with the first-ever “Contemporary Icon Award” at the Song Writers Hall of Fame. But instead of just accepting the award, she sat down at the piano to pay tribute to Linda Perry (the lead singer of 4 Non Blondes) who was also being inducted that night. She did a cover of Perry’s massive 90’s hit song ‘What’s Up?’. In the late 80’s, Linda Perry left Massachusetts for San Francisco, chasing music and self expression. Once she arrived she formed a band named 4 Non Blondes. Their debut album ‘Better, Faster, More!’ (1992) produced one timeless hit ‘What’s Up?’. Written and sung by Linda. The song exploded worldwide in 1993. 33 years later and Linda’s voice has not changed a bit. Just as powerful and moving. Such an incredible talent.
