A massive thank you to everyone who came out to CrimeCon this past weekend, it was amazing to meet you all!
We had a fantastic time with talks from Kerry Daynes, Hayley Rhodes, and our good friend Naomi.
The panels were genuinely so interesting, covering everything from behavioural analysis and spotting subtle tells, to how technology is now playing such a huge role in investigations. From CCTV and doorbell footage to things like wifi data and smart devices, it really shows how even the smallest detail can become part of the bigger picture.
There was also a real focus on timelines, alibis and how cases are built piece by piece, which made it all feel incredibly immersive rather than just something being retold.
What stood out most was hearing directly from experts and investigators who were actually involved in the cases discussed. It adds a completely different level of understanding when it is coming from people who were there, working through it in real time.
Such a fascinating experience from start to finish.

Huge privilege to open the 10th @crimecon_uk, hosted for the first time in Birmingham.
I had the honour to speak at CrimeCon in London last year, sharing my story as one of the keynote talks of the day. So, it was fantastic to be back again this year opening the event as Victims Advocate of @westmidspcc.
The event is truly unique - sharing victims stories as well as exploring the true crime investigations and the amazing diverse methods used to detect crime even in the most challenging cases where evidence is limited. My good friend and incredible speaker and survivor of sexual violence, @madblack65 was the keynote speaker at the end of the day - not only sharing her story but also uplifting and empowering everyone in the audience.
I also managed to sneak quite a bit of time with @animalswmp from @westmidlandspolice with this gorgeous pair (the 4 legged ones in the photo just to be clear - sorry guys!)
Great to have West Midlands Police animal unit there representing the force - with their sniffer dogs (who I spent an excessive amount of time with!!😁👀).
So good to have time with people who have become some amazing friends in this incredible journey.
Thank you @nancytheassembly and David for making me a part of this year’s event in Birmingham!

Inside the Future of Hair with @kevin.murphy at @nblive.ie x @national_b ✨
At @lyrathestate 💚, the stage was set for a forward-thinking conversation on where hairdressing is heading next.
KEVIN.MURPHY brought a fresh perspective, spotlighting the shift towards personalisation over trends and celebrating hair as one of the last true handcrafted art forms in beauty.
Blending creativity with education, his session explored modern techniques, evolving salon culture, and the importance of passing on skills, reflecting an industry built on shared knowledge.
An inspiring reminder that the future of hair isn’t about following trends. It’s about craft, individuality, and the hands behind the work.
✨ More from this moment coming soon… 👀✨
